Solutions Architect (Airline Industry, Fully Remote)

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, an International Technology Services Provider, offering digital transformation services in the airline industry, is seeking a Solutions Architect to join their development team

Workplace location: Greece, 100% remote (you need to be based in Greece)

What you will be doing:

You will be designing and leading in decisions in the development team who is responsible for the designing, developing and testing solutions

More specifically you will:

• Set architecture principles and work with the product team on the technology strategy and vision of the architecture (overall our client’s product is Java oriented)
• Work with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance and support to the Software Engineering team and the company's customers
• Ensure that the solutions are consistent with the target architecture and that they are cost-effective and rational to achieve the business objectives
• Develop tools and processes that reduce technical time, quality, reusability, reliability, and compliance with standards
• Evaluate new technologies
• Work with technology peer leaders within the company to create multi-practice opportunities
• Record the architecture requirements, constraints, assumptions, gaps
• Provide solutions to production support tickets in collaboration with delivery team

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS) or any other related field;
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar position OR as Technical Project Manager OR as a Senior SW Engineer; Overall, we are looking for experience in Solutions / Technical Solutions and experience in designing & implementing Architecture in Products
• Good knowledge of Java Stack
• Knowledge of Azure (or Cloud overall) will be highly appreciated
• Previous experience with Technical writing will be appreciated
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with a track record of achievement in taking ownership of the solution
• In-depth understanding of the key third party solutions used by the client to identify the best ways to integrate to deliver solutions
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken) is a must;

It would be considered an asset, any experience in the following:

• Working experience in the Airline/Transportation business OR Online Payments Industry is a plus
