Instructional Assistant

About the Role:

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate people to provide educational instruction, care and supervision, and emotional support to students with special needs. Our Instructional Assistants create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the intellectual and social growth of students. If qualified, you may also be asked to serve as a substitute teacher.

McKinley is a non-profit organization serving our communities with education, social services, and counseling. We offer educational services in our non-public school where we work with local school districts to educate students with learning disabilities. A typical day includes:

• Using a company vehicle, pick up students from their home and create a positive start to their day.

• Helping students complete assignments.

• Helping students regulate their frustrations.

• Dropping students off at home at the end of the day.

The ideal candidate for this role will posses the following:

• Unwavering belief in and commitment to supporting students with their educational goals.

• Knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles.

• Associates Degree or 60 units preferred.

• Passed the CBEST.

What we offer:

• Pay Range: $18-$22 per hour

• $3,000 Bonus

• Days: M-F (7am-3pm) while school is in session

• Location: Canyon View School in San Dimas and Desert View School in Hesperia
