Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, with dotted-line relationships to the President, UCLA Health, and the Dean, David Geffen School of Medicine, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the senior executive for UCLA Health Information Technology. The UCLA Health Sciences enterprise includes the UCLA Hospital System, the UCLA Faculty Practice Group, the David Geffen School of Medicine, and the Schools of Dentistry and Nursing. The CIO will lead a strategic, integrated, and enterprise-wide information technology function that supports the full scope of the health system’s clinical, academic, and research missions. As a senior leader, the CIO will build and sustain high-performing teams, cultivate a culture of inclusion, transparency, and fairness, and demonstrate a deep commitment to mentoring and developing staff. With 10 direct reports and 922 full-time employees, the CIO oversees approximately $240M in labor and operating costs and $29M in capital expenditures.

This position provides leadership, vision, and oversight for information systems and technology, with a strong focus on service excellence, and overall responsibility for the direction, coordination, and management of all IT business and clinical functions.
