Position Summary:
Packs and prepares customer orders for shipping, receives material and equipment, loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations. Responsible for organizing and maintaining warehouse. Tasked with meeting customer delivery requirements by performing the following duties in support of Acuity Foam Fabrication quality policies. Serves as a back-up to existing shipping and receiving lead. When shipping and receiving workload is insufficient this position will assist the assembly department with production of customer goods.
Essential Responsibilities: (other duties as assigned)
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating is such a manner that you get along with customers, suppliers, coworkers and management.
- Pick orders from stock or from staging area.
- Prepare product for shipping to customers.
- Ensure customer order and product match; box, wrap, band, palletize as necessary.
- Contact common carriers or customers and schedule pickups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements.
- Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials.
- Inspect materials and ensure bills or lading and packing slips are correct.
- Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
- Place incoming materials into storage.
- Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed.
- Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
- Perform general cleaning maintenance and maintains a safe, clean work area.
- Bale and bag recycled products.
- Final inspect completed work orders, including reviewing math is correct and that paperwork matches packages and labels.
- Instrumental role in quarterly physical inventory process.
- Maintain shipping database.
- Deliver and pick up product with company vehicles as required.
- Assist with production of goods, occasionally operation machinery.
- Assist Office Manager as needed on tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, answering incoming calls, etc.
- Perform general cleaning and maintains a safe, clean work area.
- Read and understand engineering drawings to build product to specifications.
- Operate equipment such as band saws, heat guns, die presses, and gluing equipment.
- Assemble and pack foam products.

Qualifications:
- Related experience preferred: Shipping, Receiving, Forklift operation, Manufacturing, Straight-truck driving
