Key ResponsibilitiesHouston-Focused Business Development
- Proactively develop relationships with Houston-area businesses, including:
- Energy, engineering, and industrial firms
- Law firms, financial services, and real estate groups
- Medical centers, clinics, healthcare networks, and pharma
- Tech companies, startups, and co-working spaces
- Universities, nonprofits, and professional associations
- Automotive, ATV and boat dealerships
- Build referral pipelines with:
Executive assistants, office managers, and HR teams - Event planners, DMCs, hotels, and concierge teams
- Chambers of Commerce and business organizations
- Conduct consistent in-person outreach through:
- Office drop-ins and scheduled meetings
- Networking events, mixers, and industry happy hours
- Hosted tastings and invite-only events at our restaurants
- Sell private dining, buyouts, and off-site events across all four brands
- Match clients with the best concept based on tone, size, and budget
- Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to contract execution
- Host site visits and tastings
- Prepare custom proposals, menus, and pricing
- Convert one-time events into repeat and annual bookings
- Act as a visible ambassador for the restaurant group throughout Houston
- Clearly communicate each brand’s positioning and event capabilities
- Represent the group at community, corporate, and hospitality events
- Work closely with GMs, chefs, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
- Prepare clear BEOs and internal communication
- Attend key events when appropriate to strengthen client relationships
- Track outreach, leads, and bookings in CRM or sales tools
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and revenue forecast
- Report regularly on sales performance and market opportunities
- Review pipeline, leads, and upcoming events
- Follow up with prior week meetings and tastings
- Send proposals and contracts
- Identify 10–15 new Houston companies to target this week
- Morning: scheduled meetings or office drop-ins (Downtown, Galleria, Energy Corridor)
- Afternoon: follow-ups with EAs, HR managers, and office admins
- Evening: attend a networking event, chamber mixer, or industry happy hour
- Meetings with:
- Hotel sales teams
- Event planners and DMCs
- Concierge teams
- Host or attend a lunch, coffee, or site tour at one of the restaurants
- Prospect new planners and referral partners
- Host group tastings or invite-only walkthroughs at rotating concepts
- Meet with repeat corporate clients to plan upcoming quarters
- Drop off menus or catering samples at targeted offices
- Close open proposals
- Lock in contracts and deposits
- Check in on upcoming events
- Light relationship building (thank-you notes, quick coffees, lunches)
- Attend select events to support execution and deepen client relationships
- Represent the brand at key Houston social or business events
- 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, catering, or event sales
- Strong understanding of the Houston corporate and social event market
- Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close deals
- Confident communicator and prese
