Job Description

The Accountant I will play an instrumental role in the close process, planning process and analysis for USACS, recording various journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing financial statements. This position is very involved in the USACS equity program by providing data analysis and support and assisting the accounting team with monthly invoicing and payroll accounting duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the upkeep of the equity program database, including all shareholder activity.
  • Assist in maintaining the company capitalization table and other equity data.
  • Support the USACS Equity Program in the grant, redemption, and marketplace processes.  
  • Run equity reports and update equity data for the board of directors and executive leadership team, including quarterly and annual shareholder reports.
  • Create, update, and maintain USACS Equity Program files (electronic and paper), including saving files and logging events in equity program database.
  • Support the payroll accounting team in calculating clinician payroll.
  • Creating customer invoices and managing collections.
  • Assists in managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements.
  • Provide backup assistance for other accounting duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of account reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using personal computers in a windows environment with an emphasis on spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in an efficient amount of time and in an organized manner.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively perform in a multi-task work environment.
  • Ability to identify, research and solve problems and discrepancies.
  • Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally with employees, hospital customers, and management in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work overtime and put forth extra effort when needed.
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills including Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with Workday, DocuSign and Shareworks a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, accounting preferred
  • At least 1-3 years of related experience
  • Previous experience with Excel, required
  • Previous experience with DocuSign or similar program preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform job

Salary Range:

$44,906.00 - $83,076.00

Salary may be determined on several factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, education, geographical location and requirements stated in job description.
