We’re looking for a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer to help shape our all-in-one privacy solution and join our mission to show the world that protecting your privacy online can be simple.

The Opportunity

This role combines Infrastructure Engineering and Developer Operations, offering the opportunity to collaborate with team members at all levels to provide cloud-based infrastructure, tooling, and automation that accelerates our objectives.

You'll take ownership of major components of our internal infrastructure, ensuring they operate smoothly and improve continuously. You will create tools and processes that enhance our team's productivity and increase the efficiency of our engineering development and deployment workflows.

You'll also be part of the team's shared on-call rotation and responsible for triaging and resolving employee support requests related to infrastructure and DevOps. You'll leverage your troubleshooting and debugging experience to solve problems, big and small. Your eye for detail will help us optimize our practices and improve support for our global team.

What You Will Bring to DuckDuckGo

• Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through post-mortem.
• Skills to wrangle vague problems, propose innovative solutions, and execute them with a strong focus on metrics.
• 7+ years of experience in software/infrastructure/DevOps engineering.
• Intermediate programming ability in a high-level language (e.g. Perl or Python).
• Experience and comfort on the Linux command line.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform).
• Passion for helping people and enabling them to solve problems.
