Here at the Jameson Distillery Bow Street, our aim is to take our visitors on a journey from past to present; providing an engaging and immersive experience for our visitors, hosted by our friendly, engaging and professional team members.

The Jameson Distillery Bow St. is the most-visited whiskey experience in the western world and we are proud to receive the award as the “World’s Leading Distillery Tour” for a fourth consecutive year. 

We are currently seeking a Retail Team Leader to join our team on a permanent basis. Based at the Jameson Distillery Bow St in Smithfield, you will assist the Retail Manager in planning, managing and coordinating the operations of the Retail team in our visitor centre, which is the Brand Home of Jameson and the other Irish Distillers Irish Whiskey brands.

What’s involved?

• To ensure the Brand Home Shop Team consistently delivers the best Shopping Experience  for all visitors. Achieved by setting adequate standards and enforcing them on a continuous basis.

• To ensure every Shop Team member receives development training on all key deliverables including : Product Knowledge on full portfolio,  Upselling techniques, SOPs. Etc. 

• Assisting in the process of P@W and have excellent proficiency in Workday.

• Excellent stock management and accounting processes are adhered. Incl ordering and reporting.

• Drive the development of Merchandising within the shop area through an awareness of data analytics on sale trends and share such knowledge with the rest of the team

• Share the Jameson (and all brand’s) story, by being knowledgeable about all the whiskeys within IDL’s Irish Whiskey portfolio, specifically in relation to each brand’s:

• History
• Tasting notes
• Key features
• Consumption
• Price
• Availability

• Ensure every interaction between yourself and the visitor is a positive experience which generates memories for that visitor

• Represent, take ownership of, and become an ambassador for, the Brand Home and the brands it represents

• Move freely between all Shop areas front and back of house within the Brand Home ensuring all areas are adequately resourced in line with business, cleaned, tidy, organised and fully stocked.

• Support your colleagues at all levels to deliver an unforgettable brand experience to all visitors to the JDBS. Creating key relationships and links with other areas of the business.

• Be capable of operating across all aspects of the retail service to support daily operations. (including BYO, Personalising & Engraving, Cashiering etc) and be available to receive further training

• Be able to lead, train, support and manage a high performing team.

• Act as a role model

• Be responsible in respect of the company’s assets

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of 5 years previous retail experience delivering high level of service and skillset.

• Previous experience at Team Leader in similar industry setting.

• Demonstration responsibilities for achieving Targets.( Revenues, Costs, Labour)  

• Leadership Skills / People Management

• Customer Centric approach – believe that each visitor is making their first and last visit to the Brand Home.

• Retail Management / Merchandising / e-comm /

• Commercially Astute

• Be a team player and operate collaboratively for the success of the entire team

• Fluent English speaker

• Planning – possess the ability to plan a working day based upon levels of business

• Be flexible and open to learning new skills

• Excellent Communication and Numerical Skills

• Digitally and Tech Savvy with competency of Microsoft Office

• Be open and friendly with all visitors to the Brand Home and colleagues
