Overview
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Senior Director of Consumer Marketing to lead the consumer marketing efforts focused on schizophrenia. The Senior Director will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to raise awareness, improve adherence, and drive patient education and engagement surrounding schizophrenia treatment options. The Senior Director, Consumer Marketing Lead reports directly to the Vice President, US Brand Lead, Neuroscience. This role will also have 2 direct reports at the Director level and Associate Director level, and this individual will sit on the Neuroscience leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop impactful consumer messaging, positioning, and creative assets across various channels including digital, print, social media, tele-medicine, and events.
Conduct market research, patient insights, and competitive analysis to identify unmet needs, patient preferences, and market opportunities in the schizophrenia treatment landscape.
Lead the development of compelling consumer and care partner messaging, educational materials, and multimedia content to raise awareness about a new schizophrenia treatment option and promote the benefits of treatment adherence.
In collaboration with Patient Access & Support Services (PASS) team, develop programs to optimize product adherence.
Lead Agency Relationships with external marketing agencies, including advertising, digital, public relations, and market research firms.
Collaborate with advocacy groups, patient organizations, and healthcare professionals to foster partnerships and support initiatives that empower patients and care partners to seek appropriate treatment and support services.
Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, social media, print, and events to reach target audiences and drive patient engagement.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of consumer marketing initiatives, track patient awareness, brand perception, and treatment adherence, and optimize strategies based on performance insights.
Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the consumer marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, and ethical standards governing pharmaceutical marketing practices, including FDA regulations and guidelines related to schizophrenia treatment promotion.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in consumer marketing within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a proven track record of success in launching and commercializing pharmaceutical products.
