SUMMARY

 

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including coordinating workflow of team, maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory needs and status to Operations management.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates activities for both regular and temporary associates assigned in work are to ensure continuous, accurate workflow. 
  • Communicates with Inventory Control Supervisor/Manager to assist in the development of daily work schedules that minimize overtime, reduce labor costs, and ensure inventory accuracy to maintain contractual obligations.
  • Ensures all associates, CEVA and Temp, are trained and following all current processes by utilizing an OJT or providing training personally.
  • Ensures all associates are productive and follow process.
  • Perform observations and provide feedback on any associates who are struggling to meet productivity or accuracy.
  • Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs
  • Assists in developing solutions to shortages, overages and inventory discrepancies.
  • Compiles, verifies, and reports periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations as related to inventory
  • Assists in compiling data related to special projects, as requested by supervisor
  • Ensures all associates are following 5S and Housekeeping processes.
  • Other duties as required and assigned

 

Qualifications: Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Ability to perform physically intensive labor including motions such as reaching, bending, picking up, lifting weight up to 50 pounds as needed, walking for periods of time, standing for periods of time.  Must be able to perform duties in a warehousing type environment, working well in busy conditions which may be noisy at times. Ability to take direction and work in accordance to set standards of performance and safety. Ability to operate warehouse equipment and work independently as needed.  Experience working in a similar role either in a manufacturing, transportation, or warehousing setting desired but not required. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
