Description

Verily IT is looking for an End User Compute Engineering leader to engineer and maintain our End User Compute technologies. This role will lead the engineering of our End User Compute technical infrastructure including the creation of device images, managing images including patching and deployment to all Verily mobile devices. This involves selecting and managing the technical infrastructure needed for deployment of software and patching. This role will also work closely with Verily IT Support and Verily IT Services to triage issues that come up, drive to root cause and resolve so they don’t reoccur.

Responsibilities

• Desktop / Server Windows Operating System Configuration including Physical and Virtualized Environments.
• Implement and manage the infrastructure required to manage and maintain OS images, patching, and deployment of software to all Verily End User Computing. Devices including scripting and automation of system patching and deployment.
• Work with the security and IT Support to ensure any additional tooling is installed and reporting accurately.
• Ensure consistency by maintaining and updating infrastructure as Hardware, OS, and software evolves.
• Work with IT Support Services on issues with the systems or software, and support new software package requests.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 5+ years experience supporting end user computing for Windows, Macs/OSX, ChromeOS, and/or Linux.
• 5+ years experience with mobile device management tools, automating OS, patching, and software updates and deployment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in management of hardware technologies including desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printers and audio-visual equipment.
• Google Workspace proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Good customer service skills.
• Scripting and skills with automations tools.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $124,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
