GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Senior Learning Consultant is responsible for providing expert consultation to internal clients, leveraging their extensive knowledge of learning methodologies, business acumen, and exceptional influence and negotiation skills.
Primary learning consultant for business client functions or leadership and professional development, aligned to large scale initiatives and strategies where scope, scale and complexity is moderate to complex.
The Consultant builds and nurtures relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives at Staff, Bancorp and Regional levels. Demonstrates business acumen and persuasive skills to influence decision-making and business outcomes related to learning. Drives learning needs analysis, partners with Learning Product Owners and design to ensure effective learning solutions are developed and successfully implemented to achieve strategic business objectives.
Effectively articulates and represents the value and capabilities of the Learning & Development function to the organization. Focuses on creating value for the Bank by driving performance of employees across the organization, with a priority toward those in pivotal roles and people leaders.

colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the Learning & Development expert, consultant, and advisor to the client with a deep understanding of the business and its needs. Is viewed as a trusted advisor to business leaders.
- Engage with clients to understand their business goals, challenges, and learning needs. Conduct thorough needs assessments, analyze learning gaps, and provide expert advice and recommendations for customized learning solutions.
- Determine gaps in performance and recommend solutions to address gaps. Complete analysis of impacted audience throughout LOB(s), identify constraints and work to address gaps. Document business requirements for learning projects and gain stakeholder approval. Maintain an awareness of all learning programs across the bank to ensure business requirement documentation includes impacts to existing programs.
- Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) up front to ensure business outcomes are achieved. Collect and analyze data to measure business outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for future enhancements.
- Serve as the L&D escalation point for decisions related to the businesses served.
- Communicate with clients regarding the status of proposed and ongoing projects; negotiate with clients on behalf of L&D or L&D on behalf of clients when needed.
- Provide evaluation effectiveness and key, relevant insights of deployed initiatives in a clear and concise summary to LOB leadership, HRBPs and L&D leadership and advise on actions to take to achieve the initiative’s business outcome.
- Partner with L&D leadership to form project teams that architect and design, develop and deliver products/programs.
- Build and manage productive and collaborative relationships with vendors. In partnership with sourcing, lead RFPs, support contract negotiations, manage budget and resources to achieve desired outcomes while adhering to the Bank’s risk policies.
- Stay abreast of the latest learning industry technologies, tools, trends and L&D design capabilities. Collaborate with the L&D design team to recommend innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Learning Product Owners. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Establish advisory committees to support Enterprise-wide solutions.
- Build strategic, collaborative relationships across the bank to include external partnerships.
