S&E GENERAL MANAGER

The Large Scale Events Team GM is expected to demonstrate leadership and training throughout their day-to-day team interactions. The GM is also expected to be attentive to the teams adherence to processes and procedures and hold the team accountable. Within the team, the Project Directors (PDs), Project Coordinators (PCs), Operations, and GM work closely to ensure the team is operating at a high level of productivity and efficiency. While the PDs and PCs bare the ultimate burden of the teams client relationships, revenue generation and project management, and The GM is there to provide management consistency on the processes, accountability, and administration of the teams operation. Relevant areas include but are not limited to general team building, project administration as well as department processes and procedures. The GM is expected to hold the team members accountable, offer and support continued education, and develop each team member to their fullest potential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leadership, Management & Accountability
  • Act as Project Coordinator or Project Director as necessary.
  • Establish strong working relationships and demonstrate leadership with fellow team members, especially PDs, PCs, and operations.
  • Provide training and support to all members of assigned team, prioritizing development and growth within the team as a whole and with each team member individually.
  • Support the team in the management of their book of business- to include but not limited to:
    • Pricing decisions
    • Analyzing margin results compared to goal
    • Client touchpoints as mutually agreed upon
  • Approve payment for all contracted services invoices related to event management by team ensuring all procedures are being followed.
  • Review the administrative work of the other team members for accuracy and ensure the event production tasks are being completed in line with expectations.
  • Display a high level of leadership amongst each team and ensure all teams are motivated and successful in achieving the goals of the department
• Book of Business Health
  • Oversee and directly support the Profits & Losses (P&L) success of the team
  • Management of the book of business- including but not limited to:
    • Team pricing decisions with guidance and support the JPA approval process
    • Analyzing team margin results compared to their goal
    • Identifying revenue shortfalls and ensuring that each team is actively seeking work to fill voids
