Job Purpose and Overview
The Corporate Sr. Environmental Engineer will be responsible for providing global support to manufacturing and distribution sites specific to the environmental compliance and protection of the employees, community, and surroundings while balancing business risks and requirements. This position will play a role in supporting the Risk Management Plan (RMP) in conjunction with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, as well as site and/or capital project support. As a member of the corporate EHS&S Team, the position plays a critical role in engaging and incorporating environmental stewardship in the overall EHSS culture. This position serves as a technical and proficient subject matter expert to reduce risk and drive continuous improvements for Dawn Foods, NA.
This is a remote role with travel required up to 40% of the time. We prefer candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones.
What will you do as a Sr. Environmental Engineer at Dawn Foods?
- Partner with facilities and corporate EHS to obtain data to further support efforts in the implementation of EHS and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies.
- Assist leadership and facilities in understanding and complying with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and codes within the US, and Canada.
- Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, standards, and training.
- Measure the effectiveness of environmental program implementation and provide updates to leadership and determine the best path forward in achieving Zero Waste.
- Partner to develop strategies for energy conservation, waste reduction, and recourse management.
- Conduct periodic environmental audits of manufacturing and distribution facilities to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions. Implement initiatives designed to identify, evaluate, and control environmental-related risks using a continuous
