The Role:
- Provide administrative support to Health Information Services (HIS) and undertake a supervisory role of the Health Information Officers regarding daily tasks, quality control work and ensuring that service delivery standards, objectives and strategies are understood, implemented and maintained.
- Review metadata failures and provide subject matter expertise to staff regarding the review and evaluation of practice to ensure clinical documentation align with AS2828 Health Records and Agency policies, protocols and guidelines.
- A desirable requirement is a minimum 3 years' experience working in a health records environment.
You will need:
- Demonstrated experience to operate and maintain accuracy in computerised health information systems and health records including the ability to provide training, support and advice related to these.
- High level knowledge in administrative functions and the ability to undertake those duties efficiently and effectively within a hospital environment, together with knowledge of policies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation and how they are used in the workplace.
- Demonstrated understanding of health information quality assurances activities, auditing, including the importance and impact on the health service environment.
- High level of interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills; organisational. teamwork skills: including demonstrated ability to use initiative, sound judgement and discretion.
- Knowledge of and experience in medical terminology, records management activities, and maintaining strict confidentiality practices.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $71,661 to $77,455 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
