Description

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a skilled Infusion Nurse to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality infusion therapy and nursing care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients receiving ongoing treatments, including IV therapy and specialty medications. PICC line certification is preferred.

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Active West Virginia RN license

  • BLS certification

  • Computer proficiency and experience with electronic documentation

  • Strong patient assessment and communication skills

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification

  • PICC line certification

  • One (1) or more years of infusion or outpatient nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide infusion and other skilled nursing care to patients

  • Perform and document thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Administer prescribed IV medications and monitor patient response

  • Educate patients and families regarding ongoing care and treatment plans

  • Maintain inventory and prepare the infusion room for daily use

  • Ensure proper documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

  • Collaborate with providers and support staff to ensure safe, efficient care

  • Promote a friendly, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues

  • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives
