Job Description

AHRC NYC is looking to hire a Occupational Therapist (OT) -Fee For service. The pay rate is $89-$90 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being to determine their occupational therapy needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals and needs
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy techniques

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid NY State license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with diverse patient populations
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Experience in case management is a plus
