The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Specialist - AWC (m/f/x)*, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.  Here you will make an impact by:

• Collecting, organizing, and consolidating monthly actuals from Area Commercial Finance teams

• Performing variance analysis, identifying key drivers and providing clear commentary on deviations from plan

• Investigating discrepancies and collaborate with local finance teams to ensure data integrity

• ​Gathering and consolidating data on key growth drivers (e.g., volume, price, mix, new products) across business areas

• Supporting the development of dashboards and visualisations to communicate growth trends and performance to senior stakeholders

• Maintaining financial schedules and ensure data integrity for reporting and analysis purposes

• Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

• ​Preparing detailed reports comparing margin expansion initiatives (Plan vs Actuals), highlighting execution progress and gaps

• Analysing gross and operating margin by business unit, product, or geography

• Supporting scenario analysis to assess the impact of business actions on margin performance

• Working closely with Area Commercial Finance teams to standardise data collection and reporting processes

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• 2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related analytical roles

• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; experience in financial modeling, dashboard creation, and advanced reporting is highly desirable.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous but not required
