Senior Software Developer

Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support our client’s organization that is responsible for enhancing and maintaining DoD mission systems. The specific role for this position will be to provide Software Engineering support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Define and manage software requirements, design, code, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle management, architecture, and documentation.
• Plan, perform, and lead software design, coding, and testing.
• Understand and develop technical documents, including Software Development Plans (SDPs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Interface Change Requests (ICRs), Interface Design Specification (IDS, software test plans/reports and analytical evaluation of software performance in realistic operational naval environments and scenarios
• Leverage Agile methodologies to conduct software engineering activities

• 3+ years relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience supporting DoD development program related to command and control and/or weapons system.
• Demonstrated experience researching, analyzing, and applying software development best practices.
• Expertise configuring, provisioning, and administrating virtual machine hosts using solutions such as VMWare ESXi, vCenter, and vSphere.
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Modern programming languages and frameworks such as:: Java EE / Spring Boot, JavaScript (Vue.js, React, Node.js), C#, Python
• Atlassian (or similar) tool suites, Jira (for issue tracking) and Confluence (decision tracking);
• GitHub or GitLab  version control management platform including experience with feature branches and merge/pull requests for applying lean change management
• Linux Operating System and command line for development and hosting applications and services
• Integration and orchestration tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Test automation tools such as Jest, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber;
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
• Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter
• A Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline
• US Citizenship and DOD Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Security+ Certification
• Experience with and proficient with at least one of the following Object-oriented programming (OOP) languages: C/C++, C Sharp (C#), Compiler Monitor System-2 (CMS-2), Ada, Pascal, Formula Translation (FORTRAN), Java, or Python

This position is located in Dam Neck, VA. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $130,000.00, commensurate on experience.
