Job Overview & Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager, SAAS Pillar Lead (Consultant) – Technical responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions for Oracle Financials, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Distribution, and HRMS modules, working as a trusted advisor to our public-sector clients. This role also participates in business development activities to include identifying opportunities with new and existing customers. Must demonstrate effective management skills for the client project and the team.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Design solutions for our clients to include documenting requirements and specifications, developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
- Communicate proactively and independently with the client with documentation to guide discussions, to clarify requirements and provide training and support.
- Build application enhancements, configure components, develop reporting and integration solutions, and delegate tasks to development team members.
- Manage a team of technical consultants.
- Train, coach, and supervise staff.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to technical consultants and business analysts involved in implementations.
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients to include financial and profitability requirements of engagements.
- Participate in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients and follow-on work with current engagements.
- Contribute and drive configurations, reports, interfaces, testing and user training.
- Develop functional and technical design and documentation for Oracle Applications dependent data conversions, interfaces, custom reporting including use of documented revision control.
- Participate in the design, development and maintenance of Conversions, enhancements, and Interfaces to/from Oracle’s Suite of Business Applications.
- Assist in the management and delivering of large projects, supporting the project manager through effective communication of tasks and issue identification and escalation. On select engagements, may be asked to act as project manager.
- Open, manage, and resolve Oracle Service Requests with Oracle Support.
- Drive the resolution and troubleshooting of issues during development and post production support.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, to include updating project plan with completed tasks.
- Contribute to the development of own and team’s technical acumen.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, advanced degree a plus, or equivalent experience.
- 10 – 15 years’ work experience with 5+ years of experience implementing Oracle Cloud products.
- 7+ years and excellent knowledge and ability to implement Oracle Financials, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Distribution, and HRMS modules.
- Experience managing a team through at least three full cycle implementation engagements.
- Hands on experience implementing Oracle Cloud Technologies for Data Conversion, Integration, enhancement and Reporting.
- Experience managing a project team through at least one full cycle implementation engagement.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs)
- Ability to demonstrate expertise in one or more Oracle technologies and Cloud.
- Ability to interpret requirements into system design, be an effective troubleshooter and evaluate the proper solution for a particular client need.
- Experience implementing solutions using OIC, OAC, OCI, Visual Builder Studio and APEX is preferred but all are not required.
- Ability to demonstrate effective management skills for client engagements to include cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to articulate Cloud application concepts.
- Ability to engage clients in thoughtful dialog to elicit requirements and to break down abstract concepts into components.
- Ability to creatively and resourcefully problem-solve both independently and with a team.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and present to executive-level clients and describe complex processes to audiences with varying skill levels.
- Ability to articulate key project management concepts.
