Job Description Summary:

 

Obtains orders from patients and families via telephone in an efficient and timely manner. Ensures accuracy and diet compliances are followed and conducts report processing as directed.

Essential Functions:

• Obtains meal orders from patients and families via the telephone and faxed requests. Enters meal orders into the system established for menu processing. Verifies meal orders meet diet order parameters.
• Processes credit card charges following confidential and privacy guidelines.
• Coordinates call center processes with production and tray assembly areas.
• Acts as a liaison between Nutrition Services, the patient, family and nursing units.

Education Requirement:

High School Graduate or equivalent, required.

Skills:

Ability to use computer efficiently

Ability to communicate to others in a clear concise manner

Ability to use headset on phone, while placing order in computer

Customer service skills.

Knowledge of credit card processing.

Experience:

Three months food service experience, required.

OCCASIONALLY: Bend/twist, Climb stairs/ladder, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Squat/kneel, Standing, Walking
