Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant 3.
ROLE of the POSITION
This position actively supports the Advanced Education Program Director (for Pediatrics) and the Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences (or designate) within the Department of Clinical Sciences. The Administrative Assistant 3 will provide administrative support required for a CODA-Accredited Advanced Education Program. Functions include administrative support for recruitment, program orientation, generating reports, maintenance of student/resident academic files, records, travel to UNLV Main Campus or off-site location(s) as needed, and miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the mission of UNLV’s School of Dental Medicine. Responsible for scheduling rotations (onsite and affiliated clinical entities), resident duty hours, support curriculum scheduling and planning special events such as graduation. Requires use of national online application services for candidates, and scheduling platform for outside clinical entities. Work with indirect supervision in consultation with Program Directors and/or Department Chair (or designate). Coordinate day-to-day operations and/or activities of the program and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Follow established policies and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
