Quality Specialist I

Responsibilities
- Derive quality requirements from contracts, statements of work, and performance work statements.
- Review and assign quality codes to purchase requisitions for product, material, customer deliverables, and services.
- Participate in product and process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality requirements are incorporated into product design and development processes.
- Illustrate quality trends to include statistical data collection, analysis, and presentation to include Foreign Object and Debris (FOd) metrics.
- Support in program, process, and procedure audits of the quality management system.
- Assist with the review and maintenance of quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and records.
- Assist with the investigation of supplier non-conformances and customer complaints.

Qualifications The Employee Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Ability to understand and interpret technical electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists and test procedures
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
- Ability to use advanced inspection tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task on various projects and quality non-conformances
- Good written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $59,000.00 - $77,541.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
