Position Overview
Apollo is seeking an Associate or Principal (depending on experience) to join the Asset Backed Finance ("ABF") team and work directly with the leadership of the Apollo Asset Backed Credit Company (“ABC”) and the Apollo Asset Backed Finance Lending Company (“ABFLC”). This individual will support leadership in business strategy initiatives, execution of capital market financings, and maintain the ABC and ABFLC financial models. In addition to primarily responsibilities with ABC and ABFLC, the Associate or Principal will have ad hoc responsibilities relating to strategic initiatives for the broader ABF franchise.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage the ABC and ABFLC financial models utilized to inform liquidity management, portfolio / investment management, and corporate strategy decisions, as well as to project earnings for senior management and the ABC and ABFLC Boards of Directors
Develop dynamic model scenarios with senior management to analyze the financial implications of new investments, transactions, global macro events, and projection assumptions under different operating and working capital scenarios
Work with senior management to develop and articulate capital allocation and business strategy initiatives for senior leaders of Apollo as well as external institutions
Assist senior management in arranging asset-specific financings across several lending counterparties
Monitor, track, and analyze performance at the portfolio and corporate level, while working closely with senior members of the global Apollo ABF franchise business
Optimize liquidity management and financing capabilities with relevant ABC and ABFLC financial and investment professionals
Develop materials for regular and ad hoc ABC and ABFLC Board of Directors meetings
Coordinate with Apollo’s Strategic Finance function to create and refine various financial forecasts relevant to ABC and ABFLC
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution
2-10 years of financial planning & analysis / treasury experience with a strong understanding of financial modelling
Extensive quantitative analytical and modelling skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of corporate finance such as cost of capital, DCF, and other valuation methodologies
Highly organized, keen attention to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple processes simultaneously
Strong analytical thinking and financial reasoning capabilities with ability to think creatively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various internal and external constituents
