Facility Cleaner (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Hourly Wage: $17.20

DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To perform assigned cleaning tasks to ensure that the facility is kept in a clean and orderly condition

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

•Dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash receptacles, and sanitizing all assigned areas of the facility, including restrooms, using both manual and powered cleaning equipment

•Follow standard cleaning practices to ensure areas are properly cleaned and sanitized per work instructions

•Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions appropriately and as directed

•Stock and maintain appropriate cleaning supplies in designated areas

•Report any issues immediately pertaining to cleaning materials, equipment, or issues in the facility that require repair

•Maintain cleaning logs and follow Good Documentation Practices when recording daily activities

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management 

•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment 

•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations 

•Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times 

•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

•Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest 

 

Must have the ability to:

•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment 

•Work under general supervision and direction from a lead person, supervisor or manager 

•Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals 

•Push, pull, lift up to 40 lbs. 

•Frequently bend, walk and climb (stairs) to complete daily tasks 

•Use both powered and manual cleaning tools to complete daily tasks (broom, mop, and sweeper) including driving/riding on a sweeper and floor scrubber to maintain the warehouse and manufacturing floors

 

Must have: 

•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

•Good verbal and written communication skills 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

•No experience required 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

•At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a janitorial environment preferred 

•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION

•High School Diploma or GED
