Job Summary

We are seeking an ATS Sales Support Engineer to support Caterpillar’s dealer network by serving as the primary interface between dealers, supply plants, and internal teams. This role plays a key part in managing the commercial and operational flow of Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) orders, ensuring accurate processing, timely shipments, and effective resolution of product and pricing issues. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering exceptional service to Cat Dealers.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as the main point of contact for dealers and customers regarding orders, shipments, and product inquiries

  • Strengthen dealer relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving

  • Collaborate with outside sales on lead management and customer support

  • Manage the full PO cycle: quote preparation, PO release, plant/material assignment, and shipment tracking

  • Confirm ship dates with supply plants and communicate updates to dealers

  • Ensure accuracy in dealer invoicing, warranty details, and shipment documentation

  • Maintain and update internal ERP systems with order and inventory data

  • Generate credit memos based on RMAs and manage ATS stock inventory

  • Prepare commercial documentation for international shipments

  • Work closely with inside sales, supply plants, and product line managers to ensure smooth operations

  • Support reporting needs and assist in training dealer personnel on order and tracking tools

  • Perform any other duties assigned by upper leadership

    • Utilizes basic data collection and evaluation tools and techniques.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Basic understanding and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
