The annual base salary range for this position in California is $71,500 to $74,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.The Digital Content Producer position is responsible for creating and editing content (photo, video and written) for the Anaheim Ducks and other business-related websites, social media platforms, and mobile apps. The role requires someone who is self-motivated with a cutting-edge vision, can make prompt decisions and can balance several tasks to help enhance our content outlets as a vital part of communication to our fans.
Responsibilities
Design concepts, shoot and edit video and photographs for use on Ducks website, community and social media platforms
Produce, shoot and edit compelling video features for use on Ducks digital platforms
Pitch and conceptualize content ideas for use on social media and digital platforms
Serve as photographer for the Ducks website and social media outlets, including behind-the-scenes shots, photos from practices and gameday skates and more
Build a content strategy and create engaging content on the road with the team
Handle all website update needs and maintain constant monitoring of site pages
Keep constant awareness of breaking Ducks news and maintain ability to update the website when necessary
Develop a familiarity with the Content Management Systems (CMS) used to manage team and arena websites, as well as any html code required to update pages
Serve as a day-to-day decision-maker regarding the content prominently featured on the front-pacing pages of the Ducks website
Edit and update all of the content posted on the Ducks website, including news, features, game previews and recaps, audio and video
Assist in managing the game night digital media assistant
Maintain awareness of analytics and trends for use in social media content strategy
Create and conceptualize content ideas for new and emerging platforms like TikTok
Aid in maintaining a content planning/scheduling platform to share among the organization
Collaborate with other staff members on building content strategies for tentpole events
Assist in posting social media content when necessary
Develop a familiarity with the data management solution Formstack used for various initiatives, including Ducks and Honda Center ticketing and group sales initiatives, The Rinks’ Learn to Play programs (youth, adult, try hockey for free, Little Ducks Hockey Initiative, etc.), and more.
Collect and file team and arena photography, including disseminating to fellow staff, media and other outlets.
Assist other departments with relative work as requested
Skills
College degree in related field (or equivalent)
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sports, media and/or Internet field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as website management skills
Excellent knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software, notably Photoshop, Premiere and Acrobat
Knowledge of Ducks hockey, including current players and history, a plus
Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively in order to meet deadlines
Capacity to successfully interact with all levels of personnel from senior executive
