Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate the nursing care provided for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, and adolescents in a surgical services environment

• Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame, and provides quality care to these patients in a surgical services environment

• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and surgical services environment

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

• Hold current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or is eligible for reciprocity and holds a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to practice professional nursing

• 1 or more years of experience as an RN

• RN Circulator experience required

• Current BLS certification required

• Must obtain PALS certification within 1 year of employment

• Demonstrate advanced and mature critical thinking and assessment skills
