About this role:

Based in Syracuse, NY, the Lab IT Support Engineer person will assist to maintain the IT systems of the Light Commercial Labs.  This systems include a custom LabVIEW VI that is used as our primary test software, a web database that is used for schedule tracking, and various SharePoint workflows and tools that drive other work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform updates to LabPro (a LabVIEW VI)
• Maintain the TESTS scheduling system and various SharePoint tools
• Develop software tools as needed by the labs
• Troubleshoot lab test instrumentation and test software

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience with LabVIEW and DAQ systems
• 1+ years of experience with database development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related or technical field or similar
• Comfortable working on teams providing and receiving input from multiple people
• Electrical experience, as it pertains to an R&D Laboratory environment
• Refrigerant recovery certification EPA608 Universal preferred
• Comfortable working on teams providing and receiving input from multiple people
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to write clear, concise, and consistent emails.
• Strong safety record.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools, and other electrical equipment
• Experienced with HVAC product certification standards
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities with very short notice.
