Physician - Emergency Medicine and Hospice & Palliative MedicineThe University of Kansas Health System, Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking an Emergency Medicine and Palliative Care physician to join to join its team and support the mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities. This full-time position will be shared 50% Emergency Medicine and 50% Palliative Medicine.
About the position
- Clinical shifts in the emergency department
- Consult service for palliative care, general inpatient hospice service, as well as continuity clinic
- Shared call rotation for the Palliative Care division
- Clinician-educator and teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents and fellows, including formal didactic instruction
- Participate in regular educational conferences and contribute to various research, educational and clinical initiatives
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
