Family Advocate, Social Service Specialist 1 ( Wilsonville) – Internal Job Rotation
This position is a job rotation anticipated to last 12 months, though may be extended or decreased due to business need. This rotation available for current regular status employees of the Oregon Department of Corrections, Oregon Correctional Enterprises, or Oregon Board of Parole, Probation, and Post-Prison Supervision with their current manger's approval.

Your Role:
This position supports incarcerated parents looking to build and maintain relationships with their children. You will support incarcerated parents to successfully navigate the child welfare systems including understanding of process and paperwork and communication with caseworkers, attorneys, and the courts.
This position facilitates opportunities for parents to have contact with their children and coaches parents to successfully use healthy and developmentally appropriate parenting skills during that contact. You will provide group facilitation and provide written feedback and resources to parents in custody. Finally, this position creates and supports the Family Resource Library and adult in custody library clerks who provide peer parenting s
