Position Summary

 

Job Responsibilities

Ensures personnel stay focused on the assigned job and the appropriate equipment is used. May approve scheduling and scope changes in the field with PG&E management and Contractors as required

Encourages public, contractor, and employee safety at all times by promoting positive leadership, safety culture, good catches, exhibiting an absolute commitment to safety for self and others, and by ensuring all applicable safety rules, regulations and standards are followed

May audit work performed by Vegetation Management Inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

May assist with the training and onboarding of Vegetation Management Inspectors.

May provide guidance or explanation to Vegetation Management Inspectors

Performs and documents Safety Observations and Good Catches

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma

• Experience as tree crew climber/tree crew foreman, 5 years, and line clearance certification, 2 years, OR • experience as vegetation management inspector, 5 years, and certified arborist, OR • experience as registered professional forester, 5 years, OR • experience as utility inspector or higher, 5 years, and experience in vegetation management, 1 year, OR • military service, 4 years, with honorable discharge, and experience in vegetation management inspection experience, 1 additional year

CA Class C License, or equivalent

Ability to participate in the Employer Pull Notice Program with the Department of Motor Vehicles
