Senior Manager, Subassembly Integration

• Vast is looking for a(n) Senior Manager, Subassembly Integration, reporting to the Sr. Director of Integration, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location. 

Responsibilities: 

• Main integration leader responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with multiple engineering groups to ensure on-track and on time delivery of subassemblies into vehicle integration. 
• Work closely with leadership, engineers, and manufacturing within life support, thermal, structures, and avionics
• Lead efforts in fast-paced issue dispositions, swiftly resolving any integration related issues that may arise
• Flex resources to unblock critical path deliveries
• Ensuring a smooth transition from engineering design to prototype vehicle build

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline
• 5 Years of hands-on integration / build engineering experience in an aerospace environment
• Direct experience working cross functionally with engineering to ensure on-time delivery of subsystems into Integration & Test

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Master of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing or equivalent
• Experience working in new-space manufacturing environment
• Experience working directly with design engineering, manufacturing, and production teams on space hardware
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones

Salary Range: California$160,000—$200,000 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS   Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
