Are you passionate about swimwear and intimates? Ready to dive into an exciting opportunity where you can help build and shape new brands? We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Designer with 5-7 years of experience to join our innovative team. This is your chance to support the Lead Technical Design Manager and make a significant impact on both licensed national brands and private label national brands in women's and men's swimwear and beachwear.  You'll own 2-3 brands while supporting and contributing to special projects, all in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid, 3 days in-office)

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Design Support:
  • Assist the Lead Technical Design Manager in all aspects of the technical design process from concept through production for assigned brands.
  • Create detailed technical sketches and specifications for swimwear and intimate apparel.
  • Maintain and update technical packages, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Fit and Sample Review:
  • Conduct fit sessions and evaluate garment fit, construction, and overall quality.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to vendors and factories to ensure design integrity and fit standards.
  • Approve samples at various stages of development, from prototype to production.
  • Apply pattern correction knowledge to identify and resolve fit issues.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with the Lead Technical Design Manager on development and production
  • Collaborate with global TD parners and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting fit and construction challenges.
• Brand Support:
  • Take ownership of the technical design aspects for 2-3 assigned brands, ensuring each meets the highest standards of quality and fit.
  • Monitor and track the progress of your projects, maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Keep comprehensive and up-to-date records of all technical design processes and changes.
  • Prepare and present reports on fit analysis, quality control, and production updates as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 5-7 years of technical design experience in swimwear and intimates (bras and bottoms)
  • Experience with both licensed national brands and private label brands is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of  stretch fabric properties, garment construction techniques, and fit principles.
  • Strong technical comments and sketching
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of PLM software is a plus, but not required.
• Abilities:
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Compensation/Benefits:

• The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
