The Role

Apollo is seeking an Analyst to join the Atlas Deal team, which sits at the intersection of the Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”) and Asset Backed Finance (“ABF”) platform. Atlas SP (“Atlas”) is a high-growth investment firm that seeks to provide stable funding and capital markets services to companies seeking innovative and bespoke structured credit and asset-backed finance solutions. Apollo acquired the business in early 2023, and it has since become a cornerstone of Apollo’s go-forward growth strategy.

The Atlas Deal team is currently comprised of 4-5 individuals dedicated to managing the Atlas business, working in close partnership with the CEO, CFO, and other business leaders at Atlas. The role offers varied experience across structured credit investing, capital structuring and formation, deal execution, and portfolio company business management. The Atlas Deal Team closely collaborates as a lean group with a flat organizational structure, providing significant opportunities to take on a large amount of responsibility and rapidly develop.

Primary Responsibilities

• Point person on multiple workstreams around Atlas, primarily capital structure priorities and execution of new financings (ranging from various forms of asset-backed facilities to unsecured bonds)
• Modeling and analysis of new business lines and capital structure optimization opportunities, evaluating the impact on both Atlas corporate and fund-level returns in order to form views and present recommendations
• Work with multiple functional groups across Atlas business leadership, finance, and origination teams; Apollo ABF credit teams; Redding Ridge and other operating platforms at Apollo
• Communicate with equity LPs, financing partners, Apollo leadership, and other key stakeholders of the Atlas franchise to provide updates on Atlas initiatives and business performance

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 1-3 years of experience in an investment banking or structured credit
• Interest in and exposure to structured credit / asset-backed finance is strongly desired
• Ability to thrive in a high-performance work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing
• demands and meet deadlines
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory
• Strong analytical and modeling skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Written and verbal communication skills
