Job Description
Senior Administrative Assistant, Office of Scientific Research Management
We are looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team! The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Office of Scientific Research Management (OSRM) VP and Director(s).
Role Overview:
- Under minimal supervision, provide advanced administrative and operational support to the VP and Director.
- Manage complex calendars of department leaders, using independent judgment based on knowledge of priorities and resources.
- Arrange for appropriate meeting space and set up given meeting/seminar requirements (e.g., food ordering, technology devices, etc.).
- Prepare & proofread documents including memos, reports, presentations, and manuals as requested.
- Assist with department projects of moderate complexity including conducting research, analyzing and summarizing data, and preparing reports and spreadsheets.
- Function as the key resource within the department on all administrative matters.
- Perform general administrative work in support of OSRM as directed including answering and directing calls, scheduling meetings, updating calendars and answering email inquiries in a timely manner, ordering office supplies, updating departmental website and documentation, and greeting/escorting visitors. .
- Prepare travel, financial, and HR-related paperwork
Key Qualifications:
- 4 years of administrative work experience, experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- The ability to work proactively & independently and follow through on tasks and projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and relevant office applications. Experience with both PC and Mac software preferred.
- Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills

- Able to independently resolve issues and questions.
- Flexible to adapt to new projects as required for the support of the group.
- Capable of successfully prioritizing tasks.

Hourly Range: $27.80-$43.07
