Role Summary
MetaPhase is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to be a part of a senior team supporting the Office of the Chief Data Officer in maturing the data analytics and innovation capabilities, including data strategy, governance, and data management at a federal client. The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for multiple initiatives designed to encourage the use of data as a strategic asset.What You Will Be Doing
- Perform typical Business Analyst functions including, but not limited to; support of requirements elicitation, workflow and business process analysis, change management and project support.
- Create, Maintain and Enhance Dashboards periodically.
- Creating communications and presentations, facilitating meetings, tracking decisions/issues/risks, and supporting the team and senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Create and/or support project deliverables as we translate data strategy into specific business initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate them.
- Develop visually appealing analysis for use in reports and briefings, categorizing data in multiple ways for analysis and executive understanding
- Participate in meetings and interviews to gather data and information for analysis to support recommendations presented to NSF leadership
- Performing more technical/data related functions including researching and curating relevant information relating to leading cloud platforms (AWS preferred), ETL/analytical tools, best practices, and technical advancements in the industry to improve or accelerate data implementations.
- Leverage experience to apply data governance policies and data management practices to support the implementation of secure and reliable solutions using COTS software like Collibra
What We Need From You (Required)
- A minimum of three or more (3+) years of direct experience in business systems analysis, data governance, data management, or enterprise architecture
- Possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized with the ability to apply strong communication skills to build relationships, connect people, and support team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert knowledge and use of the MS Office suite (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project; Visio) to prepare documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
Bonus Points (Desired)
- Proficient using Collibra
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Data Bricks
Work Location
Hybrid – mostly remote with occasional on-site meetings in Alexandria, VATravel
