Job Summary
The Sales Development Team within Effectv is seeking a dynamic Measurement & Insights Sr. Analyst to provide media, market and client performance data to support the Account Strategist. This role serves as an interpreter of the data to help the Account Strategist and other Sales Development colleagues create a compelling narrative that is relevant to the client needs. The successful candidate will be able to look beyond 'what' the analysis shows and discover the 'why'.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Collects and provides analysis of relevant reports and insights concerning current and potential markets as well as performance and industry/new media trends.
- Researches market conditions to determine potential sales of a product and provides research on behalf of the customer.
- Identifies and addresses complex issues (conflicting data, client objections, industry trends, etc.) and offers solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepares and submits statistical reports, graphic illustrations of findings, and action plan recommendations to Strategists.
- Translates a client’s target customers into appropriate audience segments within our systems and works with Strategists to execute components of the data-driven narratives for client presentations.
- Provides advanced reporting elements and Attribution reporting (Google Analytics, INNOVID, etc.) including extracting data, analyzing and finding the story, and articulating it for the end user (AE & client).
- Gathers data on competitors; analyzes and compares competitive factors utilizing sales research tools, resources & methodology (Strata, Kantar, Polk and Comscore).
- Delivers Ad exposure reporting –extracts data, analyzes and finds the story (inconsistencies with pre- planning data, optimization opportunities, new ideas for future campaigns, etc.), visualizes and articulates for the end user (Account Executive & client).
- Leverages core sales materials to customize support for strategic account planning and business development for key accounts with preparation of analyses and client materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
- Generally requires 2-5 years related experience.
- Must have a high level proficiency with MS Office Applications (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Previous experience working with audience measurement tools (Nielsen, ComScore, Strata View, etc.) and/or syndicated data (Scarborough, Experian, Polk, Kantar, etc.) is optimal but not required.
- Fundamental understanding of media measurement, research and local cable advertising or strong interest in this domain would be preferred.
- Background creating compelling stories from data.
- Ability to analyze and translate data-based findings into clear, relevant and actionable insights.
