Job Description

Compass Government Solutions is currently hiring an Anesthesiologist, pending award, for a role at the Providence VA Medical Center to provide on-site care for military Veterans to provide preventative care, detect developing health problems, and give advice to help patients develop healthy habits.   

 

Job Requirements of the Anesthesiologist: 

 

  • Education of patients before and after they receive anesthesia for a procedure or surgery 

  • Assessing the patient’s physical response to Anesthesia – including providing support for breathing and circulation 

  • Identifying possible risks to the person undergoing anesthesia, including allergies and other issues related to health conditions 

  • Performing a comprehensive history and physical examination to develop a patient-specific treatment plan 

Qualifications

Qualifications of the Anesthesiologist: 

 

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from an accredited university in the United States or Canada 

  • Active and unencumbered license to practice as an Anesthesiologist 

  • DEA Registration number 

  • Certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology
