Job Description
Manager, GEO/AIO & LLM Optimization | ServiceNow
About the Role
ServiceNow is looking for a Manager, GEO/AIO & LLM Optimization focused to join our SEO & AIO team within Digital Growth & Delivery. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on advancing ServiceNow's visibility across AI-powered discovery surfaces including LLM-driven answers, AI Overviews, conversational search, and agentic experiences.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager of SEO & AIO and work closely with content, product team, SEM, product marketing, analytics, and Martech to execute a best-in-class GEO/AIO program grounded in data and measurable business impact.
What You'll Do
- Execute AI-first search strategies that grow ServiceNow's organic visibility across emerging AI-powered surfaces (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Claude)
- Translate LLM and AI search behavior insights into actionable content and technical optimizations — including entity coverage, semantic depth, structured data, and answer-level optimization
- Build and maintain a data-driven rubric to evaluate performance across modern SEO pillars: content quality, technical foundations, authority signals, and AI search readiness
- Develop a search measurement framework that connects GEO/AIO performance to downstream business outcomes including pipeline influence and revenue attribution
- Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities through advanced keyword, topic, and intent modeling - balancing traditional search demand with AI-generated query patterns
- Own a GEO experimentation roadmap: design, run, and synthesize tests that improve AI citation rates, organic performance, and engagement
- Monitor and analyze performance holistically across engines, markets, and AI platforms; deliver clear, executive-ready insights to stakeholders
- Drive SEO/AIO excellence with focus on AI-readiness: site architecture, schema markup, metadata, internal linking, indexing, and page templates
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify gaps where competitors are gaining traction in AI-powered search
- Stay ahead of LLM ecosystem evolution and proactively adapt strategy as algorithms, platforms, and user behaviors shift
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of hands-on SEO/GEO/AIO experience, with at least 2 years focused specifically on AI search optimization or answer engine strategies
- Deep familiarity with how LLMs retrieve, cite, and surface brand content — and a proven ability to optimize for those behaviors
- Proficiency with enterprise GEO/AIO measurement tools, specifically Profound, and AirOps for Share of Model tracking and AI citation analysis
- Hands-on experience with Botify for technical SEO crawling, log file analysis, and JavaScript rendering diagnostics
- Working knowledge of Semrush and/or Ahrefs for competitive analysis, keyword modeling, and share of voice tracking
- Experience with Adobe Analytics and/or Google Search Console for performance measurement and executive reporting
- Strong grasp of technical SEO fundamentals: structured data/schema (JSON-LD), Core Web Vitals, crawl efficiency, and JavaScript rendering
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable recommendations with demonstrated business impact
- Strong written communication — able to distill complex GEO/AI search concepts for executive and cross-functional audiences
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with competing priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience with Prerender.io or EdgeWorkers for JavaScript SEO
- Background in B2B enterprise SaaS or technology marketing
