Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced Accounting Manager, Compensation to join our growing team. This individual will serve as a key member of the Controllership organization, overseeing the accounting, reporting, forecasting and analysis of compensation related areas. Accounting areas will include accounting for internal use software, executive and non-executive bonuses, payroll taxes and flux analysis. This position requires a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls, an organized, technically proficient accountant with an analytical mindset and good communication skills. This position will report to the Assistant Controller and will be involved in the quarter end close and financial reporting process.

You'll excel in this role if you can:

• Manage and participate in the monthly and quarterly close, including review of journal entries, compensation related accruals, account reconciliations and management reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to track, calculate and record the internal use software capitalization for each reporting period (ASC 350-40)
• Manage, forecast and prepare corporate bonus accruals, analyze metrics, track actuals, perform quarterly review with FP&A and management
• Prepare and analyze several compensation related areas, including accrued payroll taxes, employee flexible spending accounts, and estimates of ESPP contributions
• Prepare and review balance sheet fluctuation analysis on a quarterly basis for management and audit review.
• Assist with post-acquisition integration processes, working with various cross functional teams
• Assist with external audit requirements including preparation of PBCs for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Participate in the ongoing Finance Transformation and automation initiatives undertaken by the accounting team
• Participate and contribute to the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to publicly traded and SaaS companies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Big 4 public accounting experience is highly desired (3+ years in a public accounting firm)
• Demonstrated technical aptitude in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong technical research and documentation skills related to accounting matters
• CPA strongly preferred
• Ability to work with and manage teams remotely across the globe

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$110,000—$135,000 USD
