Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority
• Ensures excess merchandise returning from the sales floor has a staging area in receiving and is placed in the appropriate location, and entered into the Backroom Locator application in a timely manner
• Assists in maintaining organization and the integrity of the Backroom Locator to ensure an accurate on hands of the stock
• Performs weekly audits of Backroom Locator to ensure accuracy
• Works the entire Pick List on a daily basis and removes items picked from the Backroom Locator system. Then stages merchandise for the sales floor associates to place on the sales floor
• Executes requests from Merchandise Leads and Merchandisers to locate and stage merchandise for replenishment
• Coordinates with Merchandise Leads, Merchandisers and Backroom Locator team to ensure discontinued merchandise is staged and worked to the sales floor. Utilizes tools such as Backroom Locator and Operations Workbench to confirm all discontinued items are accounted for and properly addressed.
• Works with the Data Integrity team to maximize our in-stock position on the sales floor
• Assists in keeping all stockrooms (main, satellite and loft included) bins, staging and processing areas clean and organized
• Understands the short dated policy, ensures proper rotation of merchandise placed in the stockroom and adheres to food safety audits, procedures and standards.
• Displays safe practices in proper lifting and the use of company required box cutters Monitors safe lifting techniques from fellow associates and addresses any safety violations
• Ensures all equipment assigned to the Backroom team is used per corporate policy and maintained in good working order
• Understands and adheres to all policies pertaining to the handling and management of hazardous material disposal.
• Performs other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Less than one year of related experience
• 16 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically a minimum of 40lbs, but could be up to 100lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, stretching and reaching
