The Role

The selected individual will troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits, calibrate equipment, and interpret schematics. Other duties include rebuilding equipment, installing electronic controls, lighting maintenance and performing preventative maintenance. This job may also require you to perform crane electrical maintenance. Candidate should have completed basic electrical theory classes or possess a journeyman electrician�s license. Candidate should have a good driving record and be willing to become a qualified equipment operator (JLG, forklift, scissor-lift, etc.). Candidate will be expected to place high priorities on safety and quality-workmanship and be willing to obtain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Code.

 

Up to $2000 Sign On Bonus based on experience 

$2000- for qualified candidates with 4 or more years experience in Electrical Maintenance/Repair; or candidates with an Associates Degree/2 year certification in Electrical Technical School or the like, with experience in the Electrical Maintenance/Repair field  

$500 for qualified candidates that have 1 year-up to 3yrs Electrical Maintenance/Repair experience

Current HII/NNS Employees are not eligible for bonus 

Must Have

Individual must be able to lift minimum of 40 lbs and perform manual labor in an outdoor environment. Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by plant operations. This position requires the ability to understand oral and written instructions. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs

Nice to Have

Trade school graduate preferred, but previous on-the-job training will be considered in lieu of electrical theory courses. High school graduate or equivalent preferred
