Position Overview:

Evereve is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer with an eye for a great fit in women’s ready-to-wear clothing and the ability to drive product throughout the design and production stages. They will be passionate about the product and ensure we bring quality designs to life for our customers’ unique needs, preferences, and lifestyles. They will work in partnership with our Senior Technical Designer, Technical Designers, Director of Design, Designers, and buying group. The ideal person for this role will be a team player with exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills, a strong creative problem solver and great organizational skills focused on attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities: 

• Support Technical Design throughout the fit process by evaluating and ensuring garment specs, fit, construction, and quality meet established Evereve’s desired fit and specifications
• Participate in weekly fit sessions with a live fit model
• Participate in weekly product review meetings    

         Review garments that are on the sales floor to validate fit and quality          

          Assist with conducting audits that are needed

• Assist with updating the evaluations with sample measurements at 1st fit, PP, and TOP stages as needed
• Support expanded standardization across all categories to facilitate a more accurate fit process
• Support and maintain the flow of information between vendors and our internal teams
• Support Design as needed with component, fabric, wash, and print approvals – communicate and follow through with vendors.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Evereve brand, our mission, and our customer’s needs and lifestyles to inform and create relevant products and solutions.
• Stay abreast of benchmarks + aspirational competitors, market trends, and our floor, along with our customer’s needs and preferences to identify recurring patterns and translate them into high-quality, successfully fitting products.
• Participate in market research 
• See product design from concept through all stages of execution to ensure it delivers on overall design strategy, brand identity, quality expectations, Customer lifestyle, and assortment strategy
• Drive for continuous growth in the development and production process, including, but not limited to optimizing/maximizing resource management.

Requirements

•  4-year Degree in Apparel and Technical Design with 1-3 years of prior Technical Design experience
• Technical Design experience with garment specifications, and measurements and an understanding of garment construction – patterning is a plus
• Proven expertise in the apparel category
• Technical skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Strong strategic and critical thinking skills
• Proven relationship building skills; collaborative working style
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that demands high quality and consistency
• Flexible, creative thinker and rolls-up-sleeves. Comfortable in a less structured or more entrepreneurial environment
• Self-directed, self-motivated and self-aware
