We are searching for an DOD Account Executive to align our technology with our customers critical missions. Our Account Executives are individual contributors, focused on building new business and growing the Elastic footprint and ensuring our customers are successfully leveraging Elastic cloud solutions across their organization. What You Will Be Doing:
● Part of a team driving business growth by building awareness and generating demand for Elastic solutions within new organizations of the United States Navy (USN) sector, by helping users and customers unlock the full value of their data.
● Identify, engage, and build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the USSF community.
● Maintain a deep understanding of USN operations, priorities, and challenges to effectively position solutions.
● Serving as an evangelist for our Open-Source offerings while communicating and demonstrating the capabilities of our commercial features
● Uncovering new and diverse use cases to enable our users to work smarter, not harder
● Collaborating across Elastic business functions to ensure a seamless customer experience
● Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
● Lead the sales process from prospecting through closing, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication.
● Building a robust business plan through community, customer and partner ecosystems to achieve significant Elastic growth within your accounts
● Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and market trends to senior management.

What You Bring With You:
● A track-record of success in selling into net new complex accounts, demonstrated by overachievement of quota and strong customer references
● Significant knowledge of the United States Navy, including key programs, initiatives, and operational requirements.
● Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
● A deep understanding and preferably experience selling into the ecosystem we live in, including Enterprise Search, Logging, Security, APM and Cloud
● The ability to build relationships and credibility with both Developers and Executives
● Predictability and accurate forecasting capabilities using SFDC
● An appreciation for the Open Source go-to-market model and the community of users who rely on our solutions every single day

● Previous experience selling in an Open-Source model

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE).  On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 50/50 pay mix (base salary / target variable).  

The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below.  This range represents the lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
