Program Director
The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (“MSO”) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lowell Community Counseling Center (“LCCC”) Program Director (“Director”) located in Lowell, MA. The LCCC is a multi-purpose community center offering direct services to returning citizens after a period of incarceration. In addition, the LCCC provides services and resources to justice-involved individuals as well as members of the public who may be at risk for involvement with the criminal justice system. The Director reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Program Services and will be responsible for supervising all program staff and managing the day-to-day operations of the LCCC. This is an exempt, full time, at-will employment position.
Additional responsibilities of the Director include, but are not limited, to:
o Managing all MSO personnel assigned to the LCCC.
o Facilitating the management of re-entry programs, treatment programs, educational programs, employment programs, health awareness programs, and other on-site programming.
o Collaborating with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Probation Department, Parole Board, the Trial Court of Massachusetts, and other stakeholders from the public and non-profit sectors.
o Leading jail-based in-reach and providing orientation sessions about LCCC programming for incarcerated individuals nearing release.
o Managing the collection and reporting of client and programming data.
o Overseeing community outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts.
o Forging partnerships with agencies and organizations to better serve the needs of LCCC clients.
o Preparing quarterly reports for MSO Command Staff regarding LCCC program activities.
o Representing the MSO at community-based meetings and events.
o Preparing and providing high-level presentations about LCCC services at meetings, symposiums, and conferences.
o Collaborating with other MSO employees in the preparation of grant applications and complying with reporting requirements for grants that have been awarded.
o Planning, developing, and implementing programming for LCCC clients.
o Overseeing all activities for clients of the LCCC Program.
o Coordinating, planning, and organizing special events for the LCCC Program.
o Filing monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical and narrative reports as required.
o Reporting outreach efforts and applicable data regarding LCCC clients.
o Evaluating grant proposals, contracts, and RFPs.
o Implementing, managing, and complying with oversight provisions of grants and contracts.
o Serving as liaison with probation, parole, and other criminal justice partners.
