Project Manager I - Production Control Account Manager

Responsibilities:
Manage projects from design to release, including project initiation, execution, delivery, and closeout.
Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Identify necessary resources for projects and coordinate their allocation.
Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters.
Manage simple projects such as studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort, services only, spares, or projects with minimal deliverables.
Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs as needed.
Track project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
Adapt to changes and remain flexible to ensure project success.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience.
Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Demonstrated experience in managing a project.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Familiarity with Manufacturing or Production processes. For example: basic understanding of supply chain, material management, quality engineering, and design integration
Familiarity with production across various phases of the product development life-cycle. For example: prototyping through mass production OR first article development through low-rate initial production (LRIP) and full-rate production (FRP)
Familiarity with associated engineering roles for production, such as manufacturing engineering and liaison engineering
Familiarity with estimates/budgets and managing projects to budgets
Experience supporting high-performing teams
Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
Experience with risk management planning, documentation, and mitigation
Familiarity with government contracting and regulations
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Experience creating resource plans and with basis of estimate development
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Essential Functions:
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel as required.
