As a Pharmacy Distribution Technician, you will work out of a warehouse. Your primary responsibility is fulfilling orders for hospitals, clinics, urgent cares and pharmacies for bulk medication orders, along with replenishing the bays with more product and rotating stock. You will purchase medication from vendors via direct orders as assigned by management and reconcile invoices against purchase orders. Forklift certification is required, the training will be provided through supply chain if you do not already have certification.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM.

This position is responsible for the accurate picking, packing, and shipping of medication and supply orders to the entire Banner Health system including but not limited to acute care, urgent care, clinics, and retail pharmacies, ensuring timely and precise order fulfillment. The role manages inventory maintenance and annual inventory coordination for departmental medications and supplies that will provide cost savings to the entire system as well as medication stock security. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of current medication usage patterns, handling of hazardous medications, and departmental requirements. Additional responsibilities include managing medication recalls, processing returns, reconciling invoices, coordinating the removal of expired inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Procurement duties may be assigned by management on an as-needed basis.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Picks, packs, and ships medication and supply orders to all facilities including acute care, urgent care, clinics, compounding and retail pharmacies. Ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper packaging, and timely delivery to meet facility needs. Operates forklift equipment safely and efficiently as needed (certification required within 30 days of hire).
2. Maintains warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards. Performs routine cleaning tasks, organizes storage areas, ensures proper placement of inventory, and maintains clear pathways and work areas. Identifies and addresses safety hazards promptly with management.
3. Maintains optimal inventory levels through regular assessments and monitoring to support strategic supply resilience. Performs routine cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies. Conducts scheduled counts of medications and supplies, documents findings, and resolves variances. Performs procurement activities as assigned by management, which may include submitting orders to local wholesalers and direct accounts when directed.
4. Reconciles received merchandise against invoices, codes invoices for payment processing, and handles invoice processing according to current Accounts Payable standards. Collaborates with vendor representatives to resolve billing issues.
5. Manages medication recall processes by removing affected medications from inventory, processing returns, and completing required documentation per recall notices. Maintains organized files and comprehensive documentation related
