Job Duties
This position is responsible for patrolling the building and grounds, on foot or in a vehicle to enforce rules and regulations, and prevent crimes
Observe while patrolling for any activities or conditions that pose a threat to life or property
Monitor parking, traffic and other motor vehicle related activities
Operate police communications equipment and ensure immediate accessibility by use of two-way radio at all times
Key control on assigned shifts
Conduct safety zone inspection as required
Assist patients as needed, as well as employees and visitors
Conduct and participate in fire, disaster, evacuation, and other safety drills
This position will also work a schedule that will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Virginia driver’s license required
Experience in law enforcement, security, safety and/or work in a position with related experience required. Security (ERT)
Additional Considerations
Police Academy Certificate and Certified Police Officer Certificate from State is preferred
EMS safety and/or work in a position with related experience
