Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) & Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled  Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) &  Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) Developer to drive the migration of our existing CMS to a new headless CMS. This role will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition of all API calls, content delivery, and storefront integration, ensuring minimal disruption to end users. 
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture), API integrations, and CMS migrations. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, front-end developers, and CMS specialists, to execute a smooth migration strategy. 

Responsibilities:

• SFCC & SFRA Migration Strategy & Implementation:
• Lead the migration of content APIs from the existing CMS to the new CMS while ensuring minimal disruption to storefront operations. 
• Architect and implement SFCC content API redirection strategies to the new CMS. 
• Ensure that the new CMS integrates seamlessly with SFCC, including localized content workflows, personalization, and asset management. 
• Optimize SFRA components to fetch data dynamically from the new CMS rather than the legacy system. 
• API & Content Integration:
• Redirect all content API calls from SFCC to the new CMS, ensuring data consistency across all storefront pages. 
• Define and implement an API gateway layer (BFF using NodeJS) to manage API requests between SFCC and the new CMS. 
• Work closely with backend teams to develop GraphQL/REST-based API solutions for content retrieval. 
• Page-Based Migration & Rollout:
• Oversee a phased migration approach, ensuring that critical pages (Home, PLP, PDP, Checkout, Confirmation) transition smoothly. 
• Implement a fallback mechanism, where necessary, to allow phased migration of content while maintaining legacy functionality. 
• Performance Optimization & SEO:
• Optimize API performance and reduce response times when fetching content from the new CMS. 
• Ensure proper handling of SEO metadata, redirects, structured data, and URL consistency. 
• Work closely with DevOps teams to improve content caching strategies using Akamai, Cloudflare, or CDNs. 
• Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead and mentor a team of SFCC developers, ensuring best practices and code quality. 
• Work closely with CMS architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. 
• Conduct code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings in an Agile environment. 

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) & SFRA development. 
• Strong expertise in CMS migrations and API integrations with SFCC. 
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, NodeJS BFF architecture, and headless CMS solutions (e.g., Amplience, CoreMedia). 
• Deep understanding of SFRA architecture, content rendering, and API redirection strategies. 
• Strong experience in SEO optimization, URL redirection, and performance tuning. 
• Familiarity with content caching strategies.
• Hands-on experience in e-commerce integrations, personalization, and multi-region/localization strategies. 
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
